The Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine: the son of Yushchenko did not attack the prosecutor, the incident with him - the usual "hooliganism"

The Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine Yuriy Lutsenko told reporters how the investigation of the incident with the prosecutor of the Borispol interdistrict prosecutor’s office, which the president’s son Andrei Yushchenko allegedly attacked .

According to the minister, the prosecutor Kuzovkin was drunk at the time of the incident, confused letters, and the testimony given to them is erroneous. In addition, in the tested testimony of Kuzovkin, there are suspects that are not at all like famous persons of Ukraine. Now, according to the minister, the prosecutor Kuzovkin refuses to testify the police and demands that he be interrogated in the prosecutor's office. In addition, Kuzovkin believes that his business is incorrectly qualified. He believes that the actions of those who attacked him are nothing more than a “attempt on an official”, the minister considers the case “hooliganism”, Forum reports. Recall that according to the official version, on May 19 at about 22:00 in Kyiv at the intersection of Saksagansky streets and Leo Tolstoy, a dark -colored BMW car violated the rules of movement in relation to the Opel car, in which the prosecutor rode. Both cars stopped, and the people in them went out and began to "sort things out."

As a result, according to the police, the BMW driver "took out a device for shooting with rubber bullets and shot at the right thigh to Kuzovkin." In a number of media outlets, information appeared that the prosecutor could shoot the guard of the son of the President of Ukraine Andrei Yushchenko. There were also reports that Andrei Yushchenko personally hit the prosecutor in the face several times.

On Friday, speaking to journalists in Dnepropetrovsk, the Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine Yuri Lutsenko urged the media not to inflate a sensation from the case of Prosecutor Kuzovkin and allow the Ministry of Internal Affairs to calmly understand everything

Lutsenko confirmed that on May 19, at about 22:00 p.m., the duty part of the Shevchenkovsky district department received information that in the center of Kyiv on the prosecutor of the Borispol prosecutor’s office an attack was made with the use of weapons.

According to the minister, the prosecutor who arrived by the police reported the number of the attackers and their verbal description. It turned out that the license plate specified by the prosecutor does not correspond to the BMW car described by him, but belongs to the Opel Cadet machine registered in Dnepropetrovsk. The minister explained this mismatch by the fact that Kuzovkin was intoxicated and "could confuse numbers and letters."

Also, according to the minister, Kuzovkin, giving the first testimony, put his signature under the message that he had a conflict with people "one of whom is at the age of 30-35 years with bald patches, the second-the age of 40-45 years of Caucasian nationality."

Thus, according to Lutsenko, "neither the license plate nor the description of the two attackers are suitable in order to confuse them with people famous in Ukraine." The head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs noted that the investigation in this case will continue. “No need to blackmail the president and society, but we must be responsible for your actions,” the minister advised.

However, now the investigation has encountered a problem - according to the minister, the victim refuses to testify the police and requires the prosecutor's office to be investigated. Also, as Lutsenko said, Kuzovkin believes that his business is incorrectly qualified as “hooliganism”. He believes that it is necessary to qualify the actions of the attackers not as hooligan, but as an “attempt on an official”. At the same time, the head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs noted that qualifications as “hooliganism” were given precisely by the prosecutor. Summing up, Lutsenko asked everyone to calm down and let the Ministry of Internal Affairs conduct an investigation, while assuring that the investigation would be objectively. “I would not want to guess on the coffee grounds now. Everyone wants a sensation, but it is not. This is a common case that, unfortunately, take place,” he said.
