However, often people feel that they do not pay enough attention to them because of their appearance, giving preference to attractive representatives of mankind. So, in Germany, according to the results of a survey conducted by the research company GFK Nurnberg, 3.8% of men and 18.1% of women feel discriminated with generally accepted beauty ideals.

And these people, deprived of beauty, decided to unite. Meetings of the club members are held on the Internet, as well as every two weeks - in the utility room in one of the bars in the university quarter of Hamburg, writes Berliner Zeitung .

The club founded in October last year Garald Gasper and his wife Regina. At that time, their book "ugly to the splendor was published. Why the world does not belong to the beautiful." According to the spouses themselves, they want to endow the vot of ugly people from around the world.

Since his environment consists mainly of young people, he has problems with age - and especially with how age affects his appearance. “Recently, I began to say that I was 60 years old,” he says. The club certificate of Lucius Herzberg has number 202. Lucia - a 39 -year -old lady with an open face, big eyes and a pleasant voice. The actress and singer, she developed a program dedicated to important things related to the appearance, called "just beautiful."

When she heard about the club, she thought: "Finally, someone decided to pronounce this evil word: a freak." She says that the first time she was "terribly afraid to come here." Others could not consider it ugly enough: "And then I would show them my thick ass."

The photographer, who first took photographs of the persons of the club for documents, offers to capture those parts of the body that the participants of the meeting of the club consider especially ugly. For example, 28-year-old Christine Licht, number 61, allowed to take pictures of her stomach.

“I used to be shy even when people just looked at me. And today I earn money on my figure,” she says. Under the pseudonym "Madame 1000 and 1 Volt" she dances the belly dance.

This cheerful person protects his right to be ugly. “The ugly appearance is quite normal,” he claims.
