| The meeting of the presidents of Russia and Georgia will take place on June 13 in St. Petersburg. Last Saturday, Mikheil Saakashvili called Vladimir Putin, and the heads of state agreed on a summit. The Georgian leader said after that that he was counting on a “concrete business conversation”: “I will do everything so that we get a concrete result at this meeting.” Due to the events around South Ossetia and Abkhazia, the ban on the sale of Georgian wines and mineral waters in Russia, relations between the two countries have become complicated to a critical level. The meeting of the presidents will be preceded by consultations of parliamentarians - a State Duma delegation will arrive in Tbilisi on Monday. The warming in relations may also affect the position of the Georgian parliament, which in June is due to make a decision on Russian peacekeepers in the zones of the Georgian-Ossetian and Georgian-Abkhaz conflicts.
