The “right hand” of the leader of local separatists was found in Ingushetia
The intelligence services of Ingushetia yesterday announced the liquidation of one of the closest associates of Ali Taziev, nicknamed Magas, considered the leader of the local terrorist underground. A certain Adam Nalgiev was killed along with two other militants on Thursday night in the Nazran region of the republic while trying to break through the cordon of federal forces placed around the place where a separatist field camp had been discovered the day before. The Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ingushetia immediately stated that Nalgiev was involved in almost all major terrorist attacks in the republic - from the militant attack on Nazran in June 1994 to the recent murder of the commander of the republican riot police.
The night battle in the area of the village of Ali-Yurt was a continuation of the operation to destroy a gang of militants, which began on Wednesday morning. Then a large group of federal forces, which included units of the FSB, the 58th Army and internal troops, with the support of 20 attack helicopters, destroyed a field camp discovered in a forest in a remote mountainous area. The camp of the alleged militants was destroyed as a result of a massive rocket attack, but the terrorists themselves - neither alive nor dead - were not found there. Only based on the food supplies found, the operatives assumed that a detachment of at least 20 people was based there. It was also not clear what kind of militants lived there. Nevertheless, the operation continued. Counterintelligence experts suggested that the terrorists may have been warned and managed to leave the camp before the missile strike. And on Thursday night their calculations were partially confirmed.
A detachment of militants ran into one of the ambushes set up around the discovered camp. How many of them there were remains unknown. After a short battle, most of the bandits retreated back into the forest, and three dead remained on the river bank. They were identified already yesterday morning - after abandoning killed comrades, militants often mine the bodies, and sappers did not touch them until dawn. So far, based on the passport found on him, detectives have managed to find out the identity of one killed militant. It turned out to be Adam Nalgiev, considered the deputy leader of the local gangster underground, Ali Taziev, better known by his nickname Magas.
According to the prosecutor's office, in 2004 Nalgiev led one of the militant groups that took part in the attack on Ingushetia on June 21-22, and personally shot several employees of the republican Ministry of Internal Affairs. In addition, he is considered the organizer of the assassination attempt. the head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ingushetia Dzhabrail Kostoev in June 2005, against the Prime Minister of the Republic Malsagov and another series of major sabotages. In addition, operatives are checking whether he participated in the May 10 attacks on the commander of the riot police of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ingushetia, who was shot along with his three children, and the deputy head of the Sunzhensky district administration. The Ministry of Internal Affairs is confident that it was Magas who was behind these crimes. According to intelligence services, Ali Taziev is a former policeman who joined the ranks of militants. Whether Magas himself was among those hiding in the destroyed camp has not yet been reported. In any case, the FSB Directorate of Ingushetia said yesterday that the remaining bandits have no chance of escaping from the encirclement.
