The draft budget-2007 will be discussed in the State Duma, most likely in three readings, and not in four, as in previous years. This was announced on Wednesday to journalists by the deputy head of the faction of the parliamentary majority of United Russia Valery Ryazansky.
He noted that such a decision was made by the Special Commission for the preparation of the draft basic financial law of the country, headed by the Vice-Spiker of the State Duma Vladimir Pekhtin. However, for this it is necessary to make appropriate amendments to the Budget Code of the Russian Federation and synchronize the work of the deputy corps with the Ministry of Finance and the Ministry of Economic Development. “We expect to do this before the start of the draft budget,” Ryazan said.
On Monday, at a meeting with the President of the Russian Federation, Minister of Finance Alexei Kudrin said that the budget for 2007 will be sent to the State Duma on August 26, and in early December will be signed by the head of state. In 2007, budget revenues should amount to 6 trillion 609 billion rubles, and expenses - 5 trillion 262 billion rubles.
