In the Moscow region, alcohol trade was limited at night

The Moscow Regional Duma at a meeting on Wednesday adopted amendments to the law on licensing the retail sale of alcoholic beverages, which limited alcohol trade at night.

The Minister of the Consumer Market and Services of the Moscow Region Vyacheslav Fomichev told reporters that alcohol trade is prohibited from 23:00 to 8:00, Interfax reports.

"At the same time, we make an exception for some stores that will trade alcohol in the city settlements around the clock. The number of these stores will be determined based on the ratio - one store for 20 thousand people," Fomichev said.

He also said that the deputies established the maximum volume of the authorized capital for stores that are going to trade in alcohol.

“Shops located in urban settlements should have a charter capital at least 1 million rubles, and for stores working in rural settlements, this amount will amount to 300 thousand rubles,” Fomichev explained.

He noted that the law comes into force on July 1, and those shops that will not be able to increase their authorized capital will not trade in alcohol.
