The first airline for wealthy smoking passengers will appear in Germany

The Smokers' International Airline (Smintair), founded in Dusseldorf, will be the first air carrier focusing exclusively on smoking passengers. The businessman, who is at the head of the company, decided to go against all the principles of the work of a modern airline: he wants to allow smoking on board and reduce the number of passenger seats on the plane.

According to experts, all this should lead to the fact that the company will quickly fly into the pipe, nevertheless, the founder of Smintair is sure that his business will burn out. The first flight from Dusseldorf to Tokyo is scheduled for March 26, 2007, writes the Austrian der Standard (full text of the article on the website inopressa.ru ).

From the name of the company - Smokers' International Airline is translated from English as "International Airlines of Smokers" - it is clear that smoking will be allowed on all flights of the new carrier. Now, on most international and internal flights around the world, smoking is prohibited. However, this will not be the only difference between the company.

According to the founder of the company, Alexander Chopman, who, before becoming at the head of his company, worked as Birzhev Macler, there will be no economy class in Smintair aircraft. In the first and business class, the chairs will be located further from each other than in ordinary airlines.

To realize his plans, Shoppmann plans to take two wide-body Boeing 747 aircraft. Despite the fact that the average capacity of the aircraft of this model in the "three-class" option of the cabin is 350-400 passengers, Smintair promises that there will be only 138 seats in the cabin.

And this is not all - Schopppan promises that despite the fact that passengers will be allowed to smoke, in the cabin of his aircraft will be much fresh than on board the aircraft of non -smokers. He promises to achieve this again by increasing his own expenses.

According to him, most large airlines save on fuel and does not supply fresh air into the salon, chasing the musty inner air in a circle. Smintair will be different, SHOPMAN promises.

Meanwhile, industry experts are watching the creation of a new company calmly. Most experts are sure that the undertaking is doomed to failure. “A funny idea,” says Marco Dadomo, spokeswoman for LTU. Since in 1999, smoking was prohibited on all flights, the number of passengers only grew up, he says.

Nevertheless, shopman is going to prove the vitality of Smintair. Of course, the company's expenses will be significantly higher than the usual level, not to mention the company-discount companies.

A small number of passengers and additional costs by the shopman will have to compensate for higher prices for tickets. At the same time, the new company does not have a world -famous brand confirmed by time.

Nevertheless, according to the businessman, he has an answer to this question. He hopes to win freights by cargo transportation. “We have a huge cargo compartment,” says Choppman. The carrying capacity and place in the luggage compartment will be sold to freight companies saved on a small number of passengers.

The fact that Smintair may not have enough money, shopman does not bother. The minimum requirement of the Federal Civil Aviation Administration to start the company's activities - 40 million euros. And although it has yet to be obtained, but there are no more barriers on this path. After all, shopmann intends to collect more than 100 million euros from investors and sponsors.

In the meantime, Smintair has been announced on the imminent beginning of staff set. The company needs 150 employees on Earth and in the air. The first 24 pilots, as well as 120 flight attendants, will also be found. Non -smoking applicants have no chance. All reports of open vacancies are equipped with a warning: "We ask you not to worry not to worry from allergies to tobacco smoke and active opponents."
