Saratov citizen Dmitry Vatrushkin, who previously headed the regional branch of the National Bolshevik Party, was removed from the train to the Northern capital, sent to the Organized Crime Control Department and spent ten hours explaining "the value of the stability of the political system."

Vatrushkin, an 18-year-old student at a technical university, bought train tickets from Astrakhan to St. Petersburg. He intended to spend a day in St. Petersburg - to apply for a picket. On July 13-15, Saratov planned to protest (preferably on Vosstaniya Square) against United Russia. The action was organized by the Popular Front movement, which once fought against Governor Ayatskov (the NBP in Saratov ceased to exist this spring).

The train departed on Sunday morning at 6.27. As soon as Dmitry entered the car, a policeman appeared and offered to "go with things." The young man was taken to the Department of Internal Affairs on transport, searched and placed in a cage. Three hours later they showed the “operative”: Vatrushkin Dmitry Alexandrovich, born in 1987, put on the federal wanted list since January 3, they are looking for the Central Internal Affairs Directorate and the Federal Security Service of the Saratov Region, as well as the 7th department of the Organized Crime Control Department (for combating terrorism and political extremism), grounds for search is not specified. The detainee was transferred to the UBOP. It turned out that Vatrushkin was not in the wanted database, but he had to "give an explanation." The student was honored with a personal conversation by the head of the regional department for combating organized crime. For two hours, the colonel asked about the purpose of the trip and the National Bolshevik Party, talked about the history of the USSR, the current situation in Russia, President Putin, "the value of the stability of the political system" and the hard work of law enforcement officers. As a result, Vatrushkin gave a receipt: "During the summit in St. Petersburg I am not going to commit illegal actions." The young man was not recommended to go to the banks of the Neva: again you will find yourself with us.

According to Dmitry, he spent about ten hours in law enforcement agencies. All this time the young man was not fed. Train tickets managed to pass already late in the evening for an incomplete price - minus a thousand rubles. Neither the transport police nor the Organized Crime Control Department gave the citizen any documents about the detention. Most likely, there will be no Saratov picket in St. Petersburg - they do not accept notifications by mail.

As the head of the Saratov UBOP, Yevgeny Chekulaev, told Novaya Gazeta, “If a citizen were on the wanted list, we would not let him go; we talked in a friendly way, there are no official complaints”… “An eighteen-year-old guy needs to finish his studies at the institute first, work, learn economics. Only then to find a good, fundamental game and make a career. If United Russia is not to your liking, you can go to the Communist Party of the Russian Federation, ”said Yevgeny Aleksandrovich. According to the colonel, similar conversations will be held with activists of other youth movements in the region - just not everyone has bought tickets to St. Petersburg yet.
