In particular, the Deputy Prosecutor General is going to pick up all the “refusal” materials and carefully study them. In addition, it became known yesterday that Mr. Sydoruk’s service also canceled the decision to refuse to initiate criminal cases against officials of the Republic of North Ossetia-Alania in connection with the collapse of the Kolka glacier. “These individuals must bear full responsibility for the death of the film crew of Sergei Bodrov and others who died during the collapse of the Kolka glacier in the Karmadon Gorge of the Republic,” Mr. Trunov said. According to him, the letter he received last Sunday from the Prosecutor General's Office was a complete surprise. “We received routine replies from the department so many times that we simply got tired of reading them. And suddenly - the investigation was resumed. The applicants still demand to determine the circle of responsible persons responsible for the tragedy, as well as to give a legal assessment of the actions or inactions of executive authorities and a number of officials who did not take proper measures to prevent death during the glacier collapse. After all, they didn’t even put special signs anywhere that this place was unsafe, knowing full well that once every 70 years the glacier will definitely disappear,” said the lawyer. According to the Prosecutor General's Office, yesterday the relevant materials were already sent to the Republican Prosecutor's Office of North Ossetia, which will have to conduct an inspection.
