
In Dagestan, a 24-year-old militant, the husband of sister Shamil Basayev, was detained in Dagestan, the press center of the regional operational headquarters in the North Caucasus told Interfax.
According to the Russian security forces, the detained militant "in 2005 went to Baku, where he dealt with issues about the financing of militants in the Chechen and Georgia," in 2005-2006 he participated in clashes. The name of the detainee is not reported.
Before the detention, the son-in-law Basayev participated in shootings in the Nozhai-Yurt district of Chechnya, during which several police officers were killed and injured.
