| Ukrainians begin to fight the crisis
Today in Ukraine, an anti-crisis coalition consisting of the Party of Regions, the Socialist Party of Ukraine (SPU) and the Communist Party of Ukraine (CPU) will begin work on a legal basis. The coalition was formed on July 7, but it is still not recognized by the Yulia Tymoshenko Bloc (BYuT) and the presidential bloc “Our Ukraine”. According to the Rada regulations, ten days should have passed since the collapse of the previous coalition. Yesterday, leaders of parliamentary factions gathered for a meeting of the Verkhovna Rada conciliation commission. They recognized the legitimacy of the new coalition and also decided to create a working group to distribute parliamentary committees between the coalition and the opposition. Now responsibility for what is happening in the country, including the formation of a government, will pass to the new coalition. It is expected that at today's plenary meeting of the Rada, the candidacy of Viktor Yanukovych, leader of the Party of Regions, will be re-presented to President Viktor Yushchenko for the post of prime minister.
