The company "Russian Railways" ordered to dismantle turnstiles at the exit from the plates of railway stations. The Moscow Court of the Meshchansky District decided to satisfy the lawsuit of the organization of consumer protection "public control" . The court admitted that turnstiles "to the exit" infringe on the rights of citizens, and the sale of tickets "to the exit" imposes paid services. In addition, all passengers who purchased tickets for the exit can reimburse their costs, unless, of course, they show the tickets themselves.

As Mikhail Anshakov, the newspaper of the News Time of News , told the newspaper, the court ordered railway workers who thus trying to fight the “hares” in suburban trains, not only to remove the turnstiles themselves, but also to bring information about the court decision to the attention of passengers both through the media and the announcements of special information stands at the stations and directly at the box office “for the exit”.

“We fought with this problem for several years,” said Anshakov. “According to the legislation, the passenger is called only the one who travels on the transport. As soon as the person leaves the car, he is no longer a passenger. It does not matter how he could get to the platform or the station, but if he had to overcome obstacles to go outside, this is already a violation of his constitutional right to freedom of movement.”

Now passengers are forced to save the ticket before leaving the platform so that the turnstile once again check its availability, which, according to the defender of consumer rights, obliges a person to take care of the preservation of the ticket, and simply delivers a lot of inconvenience.

Those who, for any reason, did not have a ticket at the exit from the station should have previously purchased tickets for an exit worth 50 rubles. In Russian Railways, the basis for charging fees was formally called a certain imaginary ticket service. However, in court they considered that in this way the company imposes a paid service to its customers, which contradicts the laws on the protection of consumer rights, and banned such a practice.

Moreover, after the court decision enters into legal force, all passengers who can prove by presenting the ticket “on the exit” that they paid for the “gathering for the exit” have the right to demand from the railway workers the return of this money.

At the same time, passengers will no longer need to prove in each case the fact that the collection of this amount violated his rights, the "Russian railways" in accordance with the court decision are required to return this money. “We do not think that consumers will put a shaft in court,” Mikhail Anshakov specified, “the amount is insignificant, but they now have such a right.”

According to the representative of the press service of Russian Railways, they "expect to receive a court decision." “If the decision enters into legal force, we will fulfill it,” said Natalia Akafieva, head of the Russian Railways press service. “However, most likely we will dispute it in the cassation instance.”

According to her, the turnstiles "on the exit" began to be installed at the final stations several years ago so that people nevertheless pay for travel. “We have incurred colossal losses in suburban traffic from stow passengers,” she said. “And since these turnstiles have been installed, the number of“ hares ”has been significantly reduced.”
