The Control and Disciplinary Committee of the Russian Football Union yesterday decided to disqualify Dynamo Moscow goalkeeper Sergei Ovchinnikov for five matches and conditionally until the end of the season.
On July 25, in the match “Moscow” - “Dynamo”, Ovchinnikov, dissatisfied with the award of a corner kick, began to sharply challenge the decision of referee Igor Zakharov. Having received a yellow card for unsportsmanlike behavior, the goalkeeper began to express his dissatisfaction in an even more rude manner and even grabbed the referee by the chest, using obscene language. Zakharov sent Ovchinnikov off the field. Realizing his guilt, the Dynamo goalkeeper after the match apologized to the referee and his team, whom he had unwittingly let down, and in the following days he contacted a number of media outlets with a request to make his repentance public.
The contract with the NHL will not be signed
The President of the Russian Hockey Federation, Vladislav Tretyak, said that Russia will never join the agreement of the other leading European countries in this sport with the North American National Hockey League. This agreement regulates compensation for the transfer of players from Old World clubs to the NHL. Tretyak said that during his negotiations with the International Hockey Federation (IIHF) and the NHL, he was unable to fully defend the interests of Russian clubs. But Tretyak called our country’s accession to the IIHF-Europe-NHL agreement one of his programmatic theses after the spring elections to the post of head of the FHR.
The absence of an agreement with the NHL threatens our clubs with the fact that if a player moves to an overseas league, the issue of compensation will either not be considered at all or will entail long litigation. NHL teams, for their part, may not release Russian players to the World Championships in Moscow in May. Vladimir ILYIN

Our team, which eventually took third place in the table, made an unreasonable bet on three-point shots. Sergei Monya and Viktor Khryapa between them made 13 attempts to shoot at the Lithuanians’ ring from behind a six-meter arc, but the ball hit the target only three times. Ilya TRISVIATSKY
CSKA will go to Ruzomberok
All participants in the third qualifying round of the Champions League are known, the winners of which advance to the group stage. The upcoming opponent of the best team in Russia, CSKA, was determined based on the results of the return match between Ruzomberok (Slovakia) and Djurgården (Sweden). The hosts, who lost away a week ago with a score of 0:1, decided to advance to the next round only two minutes before the end of the rematch.
Already by the 18th minute, the Slovak club took the lead with a difference that suited it - 2:0. In the middle of the second half, Djurgården were left in the minority due to a sending off. However, a quarter of an hour before the end of the match, the guests scored a goal that made them winners on aggregate. Ružomberok finally achieved their goal: the club’s only foreign forward, Czech Nezmar, scored the third goal shortly before the final whistle.
Ruzomberok became the national champion for the first time last spring. True, the level of the Slovak league is extremely low. The team prefers to make do with home-grown players, inviting several Czechs to join local players. The team started the new national championship in July unsuccessfully, suffering two defeats in three games. The city of Ružomberok, with a population of 30 thousand inhabitants, is better known not for football, but for its famous women's basketball team, a two-time winner of the Euroleague. "Astana" achieved its first success
