
Russian Dmitry Sautin became the champion of the continent in water jumping from a three -meter springboard. For the 32-year-old Olympic champion, this medal has already become the 10th Higher Award in European tournaments.
In general complexity, Dmitry won 14 "European" medals. He won his first European "gold" in Athens in 1991. By the way, his partner in the synchronous jumps, with whom Sautin won the Silver in Budapest on the springboard - Yuri Kunakov at that moment only ... 18 months, ITAR -TASS reports.
Sautin noted that his compatriot Alexander Dobroskok, who won Silver, was always a strong opponent, but this time he himself turned out to be stronger. “Before the Olympics for two years,” Sautin continued. “I can’t say now if we will ever jump with Alexander together, but for the World Cup in Melbourne we prepare synchronous jumps with Kunakov.”
