Lebanon will receive 42 million euros from the EU and waits another $ 500 million from other countries

The European Commission announced on Wednesday the intention to allocate 42 million euros for the restoration of Lebanon. According to the press service of the European Commission, out of the indicated amount, 10 million euros will be directed directly to restoration work, 4 million - to ensure security and law and order, 18 million to support the private sector. Another 10 million euros will be allocated for other needs that the Livan government has to be determined, RIA Novosti reports.

Thus, the total amount of various assistance provided by Lebanon from the European Commission will exceed one million euros. Of these, 50 million euros have already been allocated for humanitarian needs.

Another $ 500 million Livans expects to receive from international donors at an international conference in support of the post -war reconstruction of Lebanon, which opens on Thursday in Stockholm. Representatives of 60 donor countries and international organizations will take part in this forum, ITAR-TASS reports.
