In Ukraine, Russian human rights defender helped to receive political asylum in Sweden

I asked myself when it became known: the terrible many -month epic of the Dagestan human rights activist Osman Boliev ended safely. Sweden gave him a constant shelter that he asked for.

But I assume what happened to Boliev, the head of the modest human rights organization "Chamomile" from the Dagestan city of Khasavyurt. In November 2005, the police detained Osman, chose handcuffs and put a grenade in his pocket - so he was arrested. In the pre -trial detention center, gentlemen came to the human rights activist who introduced themselves to the officers of the local FSB. They tried to agree with him: promise to stop writing complaints to the Khasavyurt people to the European Court of Human Rights - and you will go home. The human rights activist refused this kind of cooperation. Boliev beat and tortured a pre -trial detention center. Throwing his face down, they jumped on his back until Osman was losing consciousness.

Soon it became known. The surname Boliev appeared in the resolution on the extension of the terms of investigation of the criminal case ... according to Nord-Ost. Osman was credited to the “speaking on the phone with one of the terrorists” ...

And Boliev fled to Ukraine - trying to get ahead of the arrest. There he "surrendered" to the UN representative office. It took him under its care, and Sweden soon gave refuge, shelter, support.

The most striking example is the fate of Mikhail Trepashkin, concluded by the Nizhny Tagil colony. Trepashkin is a former KGB-FSB officer who opposed the methods of his department, completely unsuitable in his resistance, for which he became a victim of a series of falsified accusations and sentences, and now prison persecution.
