ALEXEY: Recently starred in the film "Orange Love". A story about love, can it replace the whole world for a person ... I dream of playing something calm, honest. The present. Here sits a man. - Journalists tortured you with questions about similarity. I would like to consider the differences. Not only in the profession but in life.

ANDREY: I live with him like with a woman, only we don't sleep together. But don't people become similar in a happy marriage? We've been together since birth. Although in some things they are not at all similar. Lesha is lighter, switches to something else faster, I am more inert. Here is an exemplary situation. I had a girlfriend. I loved her very much. We broke up. Worried for a year. Lesha met the girl for six years, broke up - after three days everything is fine. Of course, he was worried, but not like that. It's probably right. The Bible teaches humility. And it's hard for me.

- Andrey gets more romantic roles. Is it a lottery or because you are tougher?

ALEXEY: When people ask me about the roles, I want to exclaim: “Well, I don’t choose them!”. They are me. The most I can do is refuse. Now there is some choice. Previously, it was different: to stay in the profession. Without selling, without speculating face. It's oh so difficult. But you guessed it, Andrei is more romantic, including in relationships with girls. Although, what is there ... in fact, I am also a romantic. Andrew just reflects more. His erogenous zone is his head. Can't turn it off until he exhausts himself. He gets tired of it.

- And from a professional point of view - what is the difference between the Chadov actors?

ANDREY: Honestly, I didn't think so. We need to ask the directors. I still don’t know where my boundaries are in the profession. I'm still groping for opportunities. And Lesha too. It is interesting, in fact, to find out: what can you do? Where is your ceiling?

ALEXEY: So I always think: why is the first take the best thing to do? You are pushing yourself into a new situation. And you still don’t know how you will get out, you will behave. How will the nerves, the head, the body react... And if there is also a director, such as Balabanov, who guides you... It's like an unpredictable journey.

ANDREY: The first reaction is the most alive. But work is different. Maybe the sixteenth take will be the best. If, for example, the trick is complex. It's great to work with Sasha Veledinsky, because one take is not like another.

- Somewhere you said that you prepare for the role in different ways. Andrei needs a long time to tune in, to move into a dimension of a different nature ...

ALEXEY: I was surprised myself. He developed his technique of slow immersion… I think on the set with Sasha Veledinsky during the filming of Russkiy. I have my own way. It seems to me that they do not so much enter into the image as imitate ... some kind of character, character, state ... You just think it out a little, bring it up. Andrew focuses on himself. He needs time to dig deeper, loosen ... there, inside himself. Mentally drives himself into some situations. And from there he gets all the emotions, tears ... It’s easier for me - through physics. Roughly speaking, do not simulate a fall - fall for real.

- I know that you came to the casting of "Russian" together with Veledinsky, after long trials, Lesha himself decided that the role was more suitable for Andrei, and did not go to the auditions anymore ...

ANDREY: Yes, Sasha Veledinsky approved me just a few hours before filming. I doubted. Thought. Until I checked everything thoroughly, I believed it. You can understand him. The movie took so long. You can't lose here.

How did you convince him? Have you read Limonov?

ANDREY: I read it while working on the film. There are not literary - worldly accents. A 16-year-old talented, not very educated boy, but somehow especially feeling that post-war period ...

- Before the "Live" you met with the guys who fought in Chechnya?

ANDREY: Yes. Talked. The demobilization team, who had "two walkers", helped us to enter the details. How everything is tied, how to shoot, crawl... But this picture is not about Chechnya. Not about the war. It's about the war of the soul. When Sasha told me the script, I had already seen this movie.

- Andrei, was it important for you that your hero dies at the beginning of the film? And the shadow of mysticism falls on the whole subsequent history. Or you played an ordinary guy who returned from there ...

- You can see it that way. When a car hits him and he dies, the soul remains ... She does not know how to lie, adapt, come to terms with her suffering. Here she walks - dangles. This is the story of the winding of the soul.

ALEXEY: Isn't there a lot of that around? Maybe you've been dead for a long time. Just adapted. You walk like a rat in the dark, feeling nothing yourself ...

- It is known that the atmosphere on the set, a well-coordinated ensemble of actors are important for Veledinsky. He doesn't like the beneficiary actors.

ANDREY: A rare quality today is a combination of a professional and kind-hearted atmosphere on the site. We are truly friendly. But on the set, he is the director, you are the actor. Friendship - it is not turned off, it is simply put out of brackets.

- For the first time, the Chadov brothers worked together in the frame. What are the impressions?

ANDREY : The whole atmosphere was initially thin, fragile. And with my brother… For the first time there was a feeling of a real buzz from the process. Some incredible degree of concentration and concentration: me, Lesha and Veledinsky - the three of us, as in a closed laboratory. When you can't see anything around.

ALEXEY: No matter how much you trust your partner, you still don't know him the way you do your brother. I know why he hurts, sadly, cheerfully. I don't even offend him. This is the ideal partnership that was talked about at the institute.

You two are in the same profession. And they are very similar in appearance. Is this a plus or a minus? Harder together or easier?

ALEXEI: I don't see any problem. Both have jobs. Miscellaneous. Here Andryusha starred in London - I envy him in a good way. I love leaving the country, it's the best way to know myself. Nobody knows you, they look differently. You start to think that you are really different. Which one then? This is a delicate process.

ANDREY: No one tells you that you are a brake. On the contrary: what a thoughtful Russian, and everyone is smiling. They accept you that way. You come back, again: “Don't worry. Wake up." Everything is different there: water, air, relationships.

So you don't have competition?

ALEXEI: No, it's stupid to waste your energy, life on nonsense. I love my profession very much, but I will refuse the most awesome role: in the theater, in the cinema, but at least in Hollywood itself, in the name of other things. For love. For a brother. And what about the roles ... Let's find ourselves others.

ANDREY: Roles satisfy ambitions. Professional, creative. Everyone has their own destiny. After all, there is a meeting with this person, not with another. So are the roles. They are assigned to us. And we are them. We still do not even guess what characters and destinies we are assigned to meet in the future ...
