Counterfeit sweets were produced by the Saratovskaya confectionery factory. According to the regional police department, local products were illegally given the names "Cornflower", "Petrel", "Swallow", "Chamomile", etc. - these trademarks belong to Moscow manufacturers. The factory is part of the Buket group of companies, whose shares are owned by Vice Speaker of the State Duma Vyacheslav Volodin.
Confectioners were accidentally caught by customs. Saratov ordered candy wrappers in Ukraine. A packing tape with the names of several types of sweets was detained at the post. As it turned out, the right to the brands was registered by Rospatent at OJSC Rot-Front.
As explained in the regional UBEP, "the priorities have shifted in connection with the preparations for joining the WTO." For the sake of protecting “objects of intellectual property”, law enforcement officers went to advanced training courses in the capital and noticed a lot of interesting things in the Saratov markets. As it turned out, the local factory still produces caramels, chocolates and waffles under foreign brands - "Muse", "Pilot", "Little Red Riding Hood", "Spring", "Goose paws", "Artek", etc. (about a dozen items owned by Rot-Front, the Babaevsky concern and the Krasny Oktyabr factory). Investigators found about 40 tons of counterfeit products worth 10 million rubles.
The case was initiated under Article 180 of the Criminal Code “Illegal use of a trademark” (punishment of up to five years in prison is provided). The investigation was stopped on non-rehabilitating grounds: the general director of the factory, who was in an interesting position, fell under a parliamentary amnesty.
As Novaya Gazeta has already said, the shares of the enterprises of the Buket group of companies, which includes the Saratovskaya factory, are owned by Vice Speaker of the State Duma Vyacheslav Volodin. Restless colleagues for the third time turned to the Prosecutor General's Office with a request to check the sources of the well-being of the parliamentarian. Now 34 deputies demand to answer point by point.
