| Event. TNT has made the most vivid impression lately (not only in September): I’ve been following the participants in the “Candidate-2” project vying for part of Vladimir Potanin’s money; I try not to miss the worldly useful show “Nanny to the Rescue”; entertained by stars playing with a doll (“Robot Child”).
I would like to note the unconventional move of STS, which put in prime time a very strong, but risky series about teenagers “Kadetstvo”.
Two leading channels, often butting heads with the same formats, pleased us with completely different embodiments of the same idea - a TV figure skating school. “Dancing on Ice” (“Russia”) made the main element a competition for beginner figure skaters, and “Stars on Ice” (“First”) looks too produced (calculated to the smallest detail) and therefore not a very sincere project in spirit.
We also thank “First” for the series “Lost”, which refutes all the arguments of the producers that there is no one to watch smart TV and cinema today. And also for “Other News”, in which the three main faces of all other news do not flicker.
On NTV I listen with pleasure to the impressions of musician Sergei Shnurov about overseas countries - he talks somehow in a very human way, simply and without unnecessary pathos. This kind of simplicity is lacking for Alexey Pivovarov in the studio of his first non-informational project, “Aviators,” although during location filming in an airplane cockpit or under the canopy of a paraglider, he manages to get rid of the habit of being too serious .
Against the backdrop of silence on TV about everything except successes, timely discussions of the events in Kondopoga in Kira Proshutinskaya’s program “The People Want to Know” (TVC) and the murder of Andrei Kozlov on NTV looked like events (Vladimir Solovyov’s talk show “To the Barrier!” aired live on the day of the death of the deputy chairman of the Central Bank). I had already begun to forget that television can interpret unplanned incidents so quickly.
Anti-event. The fact that the TVC, which had stalled in its creative search in recent years, has finally moved from a dead point is already good luck. But so far only Ilya Kolosov in “The 25th Hour” has truly pleased me. Expectations that the channel will have its own intonation in communicating with the viewer have not yet come true. Almost all new projects are reminiscent of television karaoke - somewhere I've already heard all this, only they performed it much better.
The short fate of the most attractive project of September - “In the Circle of Light” on Domashny. I was interested in how Svetlana Sorokina and Alexey Venediktov, live on air with a bunch of guests, would please the eyes and ears of the Kremlin inhabitants. And judging by Alexander Rodnyansky’s vague and reluctant explanations of the reasons for the sudden closure of the program, it was not without their dissatisfaction. Evgeniy Kuzin, Telescope agency
