At noon, a rally of the Narodnaya Volya party began at the monument to Tolstoy on Devichye Pole, which was joined by participants of the banned “Russian March” from the DPNI party, as well as activists of a number of other nationalist persuasions. According to a Lenta.Ru correspondent, about 500 people gathered at the rally. Half an hour after the start of the rally, the number of protesters increased to 1,000 people.

At the same time, the representative of the Movement against Illegal Immigration (DPNI), Alexei Mikhailov, in an interview with a Lenta.ru correspondent, complained that the police did not allow his supporters to launch their own visual campaign.

In addition, Mikhailov noted that the public council for the preparation of the “Russian March” decided not to hold the action in the city center not so much because it feared violence from the police, but because of fears that provocations could occur in the metro and on the streets of the capital " left-wing extremists."

At least a hundred law enforcement officers are concentrated at the rally - these are riot police, police officers and cadets. Near the Park Kultury metro station, located not far from the rally site, people in military uniform are visible, presumably conscripts.

According to the latest data, the police detained more than a hundred nationalists at the exit from the Park of Culture and in the metro itself. According to unconfirmed reports, 20 activists of the Vanguard of Red Youth were detained at the Sportivnaya metro station.

Forty minutes after the start of the rally in the Devichye Pole area, there was a significant increase in the number of representatives of law enforcement agencies, ranging from cadets of police schools to riot police.
