The administration of the American president canceled previously imposed sanctions against Sukhoi. About this, according to ITAR-TASS, said Tom Casey, Deputy Head of the press service of the US State Department. According to him, the action of sanctions was officially terminated from November 21.
A notification of the termination of sanctions against Sukhoi will be published in the so -called federal registry - a collection of official documents of the US government - "apparently, somewhere next week," Casey noted.
Recall, on August 4, the US State Department made a statement that against the two Russian companies - FSUE Rosoboronexport and Sukhoi - Washington imposes sanctions. Enterprises were charged with a violation of the internal American law adopted in 2000 on non -proliferation against Iran, which imposes a ban on cooperation with this country in the sphere of weapons of mass destruction. Enterprises actually accused of the supply of equipment and materials capable of promoting the production of OMU, as well as winged or ballistic missile systems.
This week, George Bush personally announced the partial lifting of sanctions to the Russian president. However, it was only about the Sukhoy company, similar punitive measures, applied at the same time and under the same pretext with respect to Rosoboronexport, remain in force. This was confirmed on Wednesday and the press service of the State Department. To the clarifying question of the "Rosoboronexport" spokeswoman Tom Casey replied that he had no idea about the validity of the sanctions or their cancellation.
