The tax on private apartments and garages in St. Petersburg in 2007 will be increased by 8.3%, Fontanka.ru reports.
The facts in the cost of the inventory value of buildings, premises and structures belonging to citizens on the right of ownership used for tax purposes are annually determined by the city government. Recall that these coefficients have practically not changed over the past few years.
An increase in tax is due to an increase in inflation, which determines the balance value of real estate this year relative to 1969, when an inventory was carried out. According to the published decree of the Government of St. Petersburg, in 2007 this coefficient is established equal to 40.68.
Given that now it is 37.57, next year the tax base and the relevant payments will increase by 8.3%. In 2006, the tax increased by 13.8%, in 2005 - by 8.9%.
