The status of the property of the Catholic Church in Israel has not yet been finally determined - the Vatican wants guarantees of its ownership rights to Catholic churches, monasteries and other properties in the Holy Land, as well as legal confirmation of the Church’s centuries-old right to tax exemption. The Israeli delegation will visit Rome in December and January and will hold talks with the Vatican Secretariat of State as part of the work of a bilateral permanent working commission.
