Prime Minister of Poland Jaroslaw Kaczynski yesterday did not rule out the possibility of removing Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Agriculture Andrzej Lepper from his post. “I can only say that it is impossible to cooperate with people who committed such actions, but it has not yet been established that they actually did it,” said the head of government, awaiting the results of the investigation. Accusations against Lepper, who is also the head of the left-wing Self-Defense party, were brought forward by a former employee of the party's representative office in the city of Lodz. She told Gazeta Wyborcza that in 2001 she provided sexual favors to Mr. Lepper in exchange for employment and financial benefits. The Lodz prosecutor's office is conducting an investigation, and the deputy prime minister himself denies the accusations.
