Human rights activists celebrated the day of the Chekist Picket

At Solovetsky stone on the Lubyanskaya Square of Moscow, human rights activists held a coordinated picket dedicated to the Chekist's Day. The purpose of the event is to call on special services to comply with constitutional rights and freedoms of citizens.

According to the Grani.ru correspondent from the scene, about seventy people gathered in the square. The organizers of the action distributed letters from the former FSB officer Mikhail Trepashkin from the colony and discs with the films "Distrust" and "Entertainment on Russia".

The audience held in their hands posters with slogans: “FSIN kills Trepashkin”, “Comrades Chekists, leave one science alone”, “Mikhail Trepashkin among strangers, a stranger among their own”, “FSB is a guarantor of lawlessness”.

The Solovetsky stone was fenced from all sides, the police missed the participants in the action reluctantly, the Grani.ru correspondent reports. In general, the action was calm.

Among the organizers of the picket of academicians Yuri Ryzhov and Alexei Yablokov, the Movement for Human Rights, the Democratic Russia movement, the Public Committee in defense of scientists and other organizations.
