The British who arrive in the USA will take prints of all ten fingers from the summer

Since the summer of this year, almost all British subjects arriving in the United States will take prints of all ten fingers, which will then be stored in the database of the Federal Bureau of Investigations.

According to Observer , this measure is an element of a large -scale American program to tighten the fight against terrorism. In addition to the British, the prints of all fingers will be taken from citizens of the rest of the European Union, as well as Japan, Australia and New Zealand.

"We will begin to implement this at several airports of the country by the upcoming summer," said the representative of the US Department of National Security.

Currently, only two fingers are scanning prints at US airports. The expansion of this scheme causes concerns among British human rights activists.

“This manic proposal will turn thousands of law-abiding British travelers into suspects in terrorism,” said Simon Davis, head of Privacy International.
