The date of execution of the associates of Saddam Hussein has not yet been established

The date of executions of the two associates of Saddam Hussein - Barzan At -Chryti and Avad al -Bandar - has not been established. This was announced today by the adviser to Prime Minister Iraq al-Askari himself.

He did not name the deadlines for the execution of the sentenced brother of the ex-president of Iraq and the former leader of one of the special services, as well as the former member of the revolutionary tribunal, deputy head of the Hussein office, and the representative of the Iraqi prosecutor's office.

Previously, high -ranking sources in Iraq said that these two members of Hussein’s closest entourage would be executed today at dawn.

It was originally planned that At-Chryti and al-Bandar would be hanged with Saddam Hussein on December 30. However, their execution was postponed until the end of the Muslim holiday of the sacrifice of Id al-Adha, ITAR-TASS reports.

The other day, the Tunisian lawyer, who exercised their defense, stated that the associates of the executed former head of state, sentenced with him to the highest degree of punishment for crimes against humanity, have good chances to avoid hanging. "We are working on this at the international level, with the involvement of human rights organizations, and we hope that the sentence will not be carried out," he said.

AT-Chryti and al-Bandar were sentenced to an exceptional extent punishment with the ex-head of the state last year in the case of a reprisal against 148 residents of the Shiite village of Ed-Dujil in 1982.
