Search engines are becoming easier to use year after year. They are improving, and often one keyword is enough to find what you need. However, sometimes you come across the fact that users, especially beginners, are simply afraid to search for something, not understanding how to do it. And if they have somehow mastered the search on some one engine, then, most likely, they will never leave it. Perhaps, the search engine Dialogus (www.dialogus.ru) was made with such inexperienced, but very loyal users in mind.

Instead of keywords, it suggests asking questions directly. For example: “What year was A. S. Pushkin born?” or “How many teeth does a rabbit have?” As a result, links will be found that may contain the answer to the question asked. They look like quotes, by which you can evaluate the usefulness of the found. To follow the link, you must first “open” the quote by clicking on it. All this looks interesting, especially since the system records all your queries, each of which you can return to at any time. In addition, while the search is in progress (and this does not happen so quickly), you can see what other users were interested in. Along with the results, you will also receive a list of similar queries. In the case of my question about Pushkin, these were both “What is Pushkin's most famous work?” and “In what year was Bill Gates born?”

For those who have not been using the Internet for long, I will tell you a secret that any other search engine can do the same. Dialogus does not offer anything fundamentally new. Like other search engines, it searches by keywords, isolating them from the user's question.

It would be a different matter if the users themselves were to get involved in the process. Firstly, they could rate the answers (also not a new thing and practiced by some services), thanks to which the most accurate ones would be shown higher in the results. And secondly, registered users could save answers to any questions here themselves, the main thing is to accompany them with links, i.e. an indication of the source of the information. I can't imagine an incentive that would make a user do this, but after all, someone writes articles for the people's encyclopedia Wikipedia (www.wikipedia.org) for free, so there is a chance.
