Ukrainians will be allowed to marry only with a doctor's permission

The Ukrainians who entered into marriage must undergo a preliminary medical examination. According to Proua, the corresponding law was signed on Thursday by the President of Ukraine Viktor Yushchenko.

At the same time, the state ensures the creation of conditions for a medical examination of the bride and groom, and the results of this examination are a secret and are reported only by the newlyweds themselves.

As stated in the law, "if one of the marriage hides information about the state of health, then the result may be a violation of the physical or mental health of the other scolding or their descendants, it may be the basis for recognizing marriage invalid."

In case of pregnancy of the bride, the birth of her child, and also, if there is a direct threat to the life of the bride or groom, the marriage is recorded without a medical certificate, right on the day of submission to the registry office or on any other day for one month at the request of marriage.

The law also cancel the possibility of resuming a marriage after his gap and the right of his wife, the husband to adopt the child without the consent of the second of the married couple, in the case of the regime of a separate residence of the husband and wife.
