A man who resisted the police was killed in Stavropol.

A resident of Stavropol, who was on the wanted murder, resisted the police officers who intended to check the documents from him, a source in the UVD of the Potigore district of Stavropol told Interfax.

"Last Saturday, when trying to verify the documents from a man in the Sessentuk village for police officers, fire from automatic weapons was opened," the source said on Sunday.

He noted that "during the detention, the resistance was killed, but two police officers were injured." According to the interlocutor of the agency, the personality who was resisting was established. It turned out to be previously convicted, on the wanted list. A criminal case has been opened under Articles 317, 222 and 226 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation. A Kalashnikov assault rifle and a pistol were seized from the criminal.
