Carden presented sketchy options for sportswear for the Russian national team

The President of the Russian Olympic Committee Leonid Tyagachev and the famous French fashion designer Pierre Carden met today to discuss the conditions of cooperation and see the sketchs of sportswear, which the master intends to wear the Russian national team at the Beijing Olympic Games in 2008.

According to Carden, who has a sincere sympathy for Russia, his old dream was to create a sports form, combining professional properties with elegance and style. He is very pleased to cooperate with the Russian Olympic Committee and hopes that thanks to him, one of the most powerful Olympic teams in the world will wear convenient and elegant sports equipment.

This is a very simple task for the fashion designer, since since 2002 the official equipment of the Russian team of Russia has been Bososok Sport, whose sports uniform was called by many experts one of the best at the summer Olympiad in Athens (2004) and at the winter in Turin (2006).

The contract with “Bososov Sport” expired on December 31, 2006 and representatives of “Boso Sport” expressed a desire to continue relations with the OKR. However, the proposal of the famous couturier looks very attractive and contains a much larger sponsorship fee to prepare for the 2008 Olympics.

OKR continues to conduct active negotiations with representatives of both companies and the final decision on the choice of the equipmenter should be made of the late January 2007, ITAR-TASS reports.
