According to the traffic police, several significant accumulations of cars were formed on a 80-kilometer hill section of the highway from the city of Valdai to the village of Zaitsevo.
The length of one of the "traffic jams" in the Krestetsk region of the region was about 15 kilometers.
The highest difficulties are experienced on snow -covered and in places covered with ice highways of the drives of heavy trucks. "Drivers of cars are still somehow managed to drive in hilly areas," the traffic police said.
Currently, road workers are trying to put the track in order. The term of the full completion of the work remains unknown.
Significant accidents on the highway have not yet been registered. According to the information of the Novgorod Hydrometeorological Center, Buran began on Sunday, probably will remain in the region throughout Monday.
