The State Duma adopted in the third final reading the law on the phased introduction of a single state exam until 2009, RIA Novosti reports.

According to the draft law, the results of the exam can be used by applicants for two years. It is also stipulated that when entering a university, which requires special training, requiring certain creative, psychological and physical abilities, additional exams can be carried out along with the exam. Also, individual universities may be granted the right to conduct an additional entrance test.

In addition, the circle of persons who have a pre -emptive right to enrolling in universities has been expanded; Listed persons who will be accepted on an out -of -competition basis.
