The Ministry of Justice of the Russian Federation asks the Ministry of Health to approve the form of certificates for transsexuals

The Ministry of Justice of Russia asks the Ministry of Health and Social Development to approve the form of a certificate that medical organizations give to citizens when sex change, RIA Novosti reports.

The Ministry of Justice of the Russian Federation receive appeals of citizens and registry offices about arising problems when amendments to the record of acts of civil status due to sex change.

According to the current legislation, such changes are made upon presentation of a medical document to the established form on the change in sex. At the same time, according to the website of the Ministry of Justice , the analysis of the work of the registry office showed that cases of refusal of the registry office have become more frequent due to the arbitrary form of medical documents presented by citizens.

The approval of the form of this document was assigned to the Ministry of Health and Social Development of the Russian Federation. Since the form of the document has not yet been approved, the Ministry of Justice of the Russian Federation appealed to the Ministry of Health, with a request to consider the preparation and approval of the form of a document on changing the sex organization issued by the medical organization in the prescribed manner.

The ministry could not clarify how many Russians have done the floor change over the past year.
