Toyota creates its own software for its cars

Toyota announced its plans to develop its own standards for its cars. The Japanese auto giant forced to go to overtake their competitors when cars are equipped with complex computerized systems, which increases their cost in the market, Reuters reports.
The company has already created a team of specialists who will have to develop the working version of the software until 2015. Two corporations will help them with this: Denso and Aisin. In the future, Toyota may create its own software company.
Until now, each company was engaged in the development of software for individual car units, which significantly increased its cost. The creation of unified software, which can be installed on cars of various lineup, will reduce costs, and will also allow you to connect more modules in one machine into one network. This will attract new buyers and seriously stand out against the background of competitors.
