The Government of Estonia resigned

The Government of Estonia, led by Prime Minister Andrus Ansip, resigned on Monday due to the expiration of his powers and the convocation of the session of the new parliament, elected on March 4.

The government’s resignation was adopted by the parliament, who instructed Andrus Ansipu together with the government to remain in the performance of duties until the formation and approval of the new composition of the government, ITAR-TASS reports.

According to the coalition agreement signed on Monday, it will consist of three parties that won the parliamentary elections on March 4: reforms (31 mandate), the right-wing-ore united "Union of the Fatherland and the Republic" (19 mandates) and social democrats (10 mandates). For three, they have 60 out of 101 mandates in parliament.

The new composition of the government will have to be approved by the president of the country. It will be considered to be started after taking the oath in parliament. Earlier, Ansip expressed the hope that the first meeting of the new government will take place on Thursday, Interfax reports.
