The Ingodinsky District Court of Chita extended the term of detention to the head of the Menatep Group Platon Lebedev until July 2, ITAR-TASS reports. Thus, the court made a decision similar to the ongoing the day before . Then, before the same period, the ex-head of Yukos Mikhail Khodorkovsky was left in the Chita pre-trial detention center. Thus, on Wednesday, the presentation of the Prosecutor General of the Russian Federation was also satisfied.

According to Platon Lebedeva, Elena Lipzer, during the meeting, the defense filed several petitions, including the direction of the case for consideration by jurisdiction to the Basmanny Court of Moscow. However, all petitions were not satisfied.

"Today's court decision is not based on the law, the defense will undoubtedly appeal it to a higher authority," Lipzer said.

Recall that Plato Lebedev and Mikhail Khodorkovsky in the new criminal case are accused of embezzlement of shares belonging to the state, as well as in the assignment of oil and laundering of funds proceeds from its sale. According to the prosecutor’s office, Khodorkovsky was almost a trillionaire - he stole oil in the amount of about 850 trillion rubles from 1998 to 2003.
