The only candidate for mayor of Volgograd who is not criticized is a 23-year-old girl

The elections for the mayor of Volgograd promise to be very scandalous. United Russia expelled three candidates from the party because they did not agree to withdraw their candidacies in favor of the official party nominee Vasily Galushkin, and now a war of incriminating evidence has begun.

Of the twenty who applied to participate in the election of the head of the Volgograd administration, the first woman received a candidate certificate - a top manager of one of the local companies, twenty-three-year-old Marina Tsiryulnikova. Thus, entrepreneur and candidate for mayor Oleg Mikheev is credited with stealing money from Sberbank; former acting head of administration Roland Kherianov (appointed to replace Mayor Evgeniy Ishchenko, who was arrested and is still awaiting a court verdict) is an unjustified waste of budget funds. For the former chairman of the regional Duma (now a deputy and candidate for mayor) Roman Grebennikov - nepotism in business.

The only candidate who is not talked about at all - even poorly - is Marina Tsiryulnikova. Based on her age, the girl is fit to participate in beauty contests, but she decided to go into big-time politics. Although there is talk in the city about her belonging to the headquarters of the head of the Diamant group of enterprises, Oleg Mikheev. Marina, like other registered candidates, will need to receive at least 5% of the popular vote to get her deposit back. Otherwise, the money will go to the treasury of the hero city.

Housing and communal services are the first of the problems that local city fathers are trying to solve. Ex-mayor Yevgeny Ishchenko, who was arrested a year ago, is accused of abuses in this area. And the other day, City Duma deputy Sergei Nizhegorodov barely dodged a piece of concrete that broke off from the roof. It was right under the windows of his office. Having picked up the largest stone that could cause fatal injuries, Mr. Nizhegorodov decided to bring it to the Duma meeting and present it to the chairman of the relevant committee. But the meeting was once again disrupted by the non-appearance of the people's representatives.

So even pieces of concrete falling from collapsing city roofs can be useful in the fight for votes.
