The leaders began the race quite calmly - several attacks were indicated in the first turn, but they were reflected. The desperate attack of Scott Speudd on Jenson Batton resulted in a collision, after which Toro Rosso and Honda remained on the highway. After the restart in the group of leading racers, there were no changes again, although the struggle was carried out. The young McLaren pilot was especially zealous, but Hamilton beat the mass. Raikkonen with Alonso also exchanged attacks, but the status quo is preserved to the PIT Stop series.

At the same time, the active struggle unfolded between the Williams pilots, which changed places, and Yarno Truly on Toyota. Alex Vurts spent several good attacks, however, the Italian resisted, which, in turn, allowed Niko Rosberg to try to return his position. The Toyota pilot took advantage of the fact that the Wurz was distracted by his partner, and overtook Heykki Kovalainen.

A series of refueling brought some revival in the arrangement of pilots. So, Raikkonen "drove" on the Alonso highway and returned the third place thus. Probably, this event negatively affected the pilot of the Spaniard, because after a few circles he lost fourth place, not standing against Nick Haydfeld on the BMW.

The Red Bull pilots conducted a very active segment of the race after the pitopa, but he did not bring them success. At first, David Kulthard went around his partner, after both pilots were able to overtake the slowed down by Jankarlo Physicello on Renault, and after a while both the Scot and Mark Webber dropped out of the race - the Renault motors, identical to the engines of the French team, both pilots of which were able to finish the race.

A little earlier, as well as, due to the refusal of the engines, Vintantonio Lewzzi and Takuma Sato were removed, and at the end of the race, the partner of Japanese Anthony Davidson parked his “super aguri” on the sidelines of the highway.

But the heat of Bahrain left the unscathed car of the leader of the race - Felipe Massa. The Brazilian reached the finish line without much trouble, having won his third in his career won, the first this season. In addition, the Ferrari pilot made a hat-trick in Bahrain, having won the Pole, the race and setting the best circle along the race.
