Nikolai Valuev took the championship title

In the German Stuttgart on the Porsche Arena, Russian Nikolai Valuev could not protect the title of the worldwide champion in heavyweight according to WBA, losing the points by Ruslan Chagaeva from Uzbekistan.

The duel lasted all 12 rounds allotted for the championship battle and passed with varying success. None of the rivals managed to send his enemy to the floor. The arbitrators of the battle were representatives of South Africa, Thailand and Mexico, who, accordingly, put the following grades: 114-114, 115-113, 117-111 in favor of Chagaev. The rivals began the battle with "intelligence": they acted carefully and did not force events. Valeuv “fired” from the opponent with jabs (with direct strokes of the left), Chagaev acted in solitary blows and again went to the distance.

From the third round, more determination began to peep in the actions of a boxer from Uzbekistan, the left side of which over the right hand of Valuev more than once reached the goal. The Russian tried not to stay in debt, but most of his attacks had to defend the opponent.

The fifth and sixth rounds took place in the same manner when Chagaev left Bokov on the jump instantly tore the distance, and the Russian did not always manage to close or move away from this maneuver. Valuev’s coach Manvel Gabrielyan urged his ward to conduct an uppercotta, but the Russian was quite rarely made by the Russian, although they significantly “gritted down” the opponent.

From the seventh round, the pace of the battle began to increase: both rivals began to attack alternately. Several good combinations were a success to the Russian in the eighth round, but the next segment left Chagaev, at the beginning of the 9th round, he struck his most beautiful blow for the duel: all the same left side on the jump.

The last three - the so -called "champion" - the round took place in the attacks of the champion, but the well -built defense of the applicant gave very little holes. Chagaev learned to get out of ropes or from corners with a blow. Valuev hit, and probably scored glasses in these rounds, but, as it turned out, this was not enough.

In the last seconds of the battle, Chagaev allowed himself to be pushed, spreading his arms to the sides, and immediately after Gong began to celebrate the victory. Even before the announcement of the results of the fight in the corner of the boxer from Uzbekistan, a joyful revival reigned, which shimmered into the celebration after the calculation and announcement of the points, RIA Novosti reports.
