According to Malawi’s laws, foster parents must live in the country in order to ensure that social services can observe their treatment and only after that give permission to adopt or refuse it. But Madonna was allowed to take the boy to her London house immediately after the trial. Malavian experts will make a final decision on guardianship after they visit Madonna's house in May and December.
