Vladimir Ryzhkov collects complaints, photos and videos from the "march" and sends them to the Prosecutor General and the Ministry of Internal Affairs

On Monday, the independent State Duma deputy Vladimir Ryzhkov intends to send requests to the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the Prosecutor General’s Office on the facts of beating citizens and illegal detentions at the “marshmallows of disagreements” , which took place in Moscow and St. Petersburg last weekend. The deputy on the air of "Echo of Moscow" emphasized that the personal appeals of the victims of the courts are important primarily.

“By the end of the day, I will try to send a request to the Chaika Prosecutor General to the Minister of Internal Affairs Nurgaliev with a request to conduct an official investigation, because we can talk about official crimes that were committed on Saturday in Moscow and Sunday in St. Petersburg,” the deputy said. Ryzhkov said that he was collecting testimonies, photo and video materials about illegal beating and illegal detention of march participants in Moscow.

“I myself can testify in court against riot police and against their commanders, because I was directly in the places of three beatings. I already have about 40 pages of testimony, many photographs and video materials, a lot of people who are ready to testify,” Ryzhkov said.

The deputy Ryzhkov is going to make this issue for discussion of the State Duma and will call for him to be taken under the control of the State Duma, and a special commission is engaged in the investigation of incidents.

"I hope that the Prosecutor General’s Office will not ignore the gross violations of the constitutional rights of citizens to freedom of rallies and manifestations, which were allowed not only in Moscow, but also in St. Petersburg, those who are obliged to protect the order and safety of citizens," said Vladimir Ryzhkov.

The governor of St. Petersburg Valentina Matvienko also stood in defense of the detainees and beaten. She instructed the law enforcement agencies to carefully consider the statements of citizens who complain about violation of their rights during the Sunday "marsh of the disagreement", reports "Echo of Moscow" with reference to the press secretary of Matvienko Andrei Kibitov. According to Kibitov, the governor quite harshly demanded that the security forces investigate all the complaints of citizens.
