
In Mexico, as a result of an armed attack on the hospital, unknown criminals in masks killed three people. A group of bandits, consisting of 6-8 people, burst into the hospital in Tihuan, next to the border with the United States.
The criminals attacked the police guarding the prisoners, who were brought to the hospital for examination. As a result of the incident, two policemen and one of the attackers were killed, AR reports.
The attackers captured and held the hospital for several hours. Only the military who arrived at the place of the incident managed to knock them out of the building. According to some reports, several criminals are captured.
In early 2007, the Mexican President Philipa Calderon sent 3.3 thousand soldiers to the fight against drug cartels to Tihuan. In 2006 alone, more than three hundred murders were committed in Tihuan, related to the struggle of clans selling drugs.
The city, located next to the border with the United States, is one of the most important transshipment points for crossing cocaine, methamphetamines and marijuana from Mexico to the United States.
