| German authorities are preparing for the G8 summit, which will take place in early June in the town of Heiligendamm. For security purposes, a 2.5-meter fence is being erected around the place where the leaders will meet. The length of the fence will be 12 kilometers, and it will surround Heiligendamm not only from land, but will also isolate part of the Baltic Sea beach from outsiders. |
