Argentina’s military forces conducted successful biofuel tests, which was developed specifically for military aircraft. About this, as Interfax reports, said the Minister of Defense of Argentina Nilda Garre.
During the tests that took place at the Buenos Aires Airport, one two-engine aircraft engine was filled with a new type of fuel, while ordinary aviation kerosene entered another motor.
In August of last year, the Air Force of Argentina tested the biofuel in the Hercules military transport aircraft, but then the motors were launched on the ground, the plane did not rise into the air.
Last year in Argentina, a law on the development of the biofuel industry was adopted. The production of this type of fuel by 2010 in this country should reach 800 thousand tons per year.
