He also noted that "the bishops of the foreign church will be full participants in the discussion of problems of general church significance at meetings of the Holy Synod of the Russian Orthodox Church, local and bishop's cathedrals." In addition, the ROCZ will retain its historical name, which appeared in the 30s of the twentieth century.

The day before, Patriarch Alexy II emphasized that the Russian Orthodox Church will protect the way and the customs of church life that have developed in the parishes of Russian emigrants in decades. "If in foreign parishes over the years there have been some of our traditions, which Russian emigration is accustomed to, we will carefully preserve them," he said.
