Putin came to Samara

Russian President Vladimir Putin arrived in Samara to participate in a two-day Russia-ES summit, RIA Novosti reports. The meeting will be held in the Volzhsky Utes sanatorium, located on the shore of the Kuibyshev reservoir 200 kilometers from Samara.

Tonight will be an informal meeting of the president and prime minister of Russia with the chancellor of the chairman in the European EU and the chairman of the European Commission. Tomorrow will be a plenary session, at the end of which the leaders of Russia and the EU will answer questions from journalists.

According to the assistant to the President of the Russian Federation, the special representative of the development of relations with the EU Sergey Yastrzhembsky, during an informal meeting, it is planned to "without pressing the protocol and the temporary factor" to discuss the general state of relations between Russia and the European Union, as well as exchange opinions on those issues that each party will want to raise and discuss in more detail.

For the first time in several years, it is not supposed to sign any agreements during the summit - the forum will only start negotiations on a number of new agreements.
