The premiere of the Prime Minister of May 15 of the Rosneft OJSC is included in a special list of strategic enterprises, approved under the bankruptcy law. This list includes enterprises and companies for which special conditions of bankruptcy procedures are applied. To bring such a "strategic" company to bankruptcy proceedings and liquidation is much more complicated than usual. So officials protect the state -owned company from creditors: Dolg Rosneft approached $ 36 billion.
The history of Rosneft’s debts, ” - the largest in the Russian oil industry - began in 2004, with the purchase for $ 9.4 billion Yuganskneftegaz. The company then violated the terms of previous credit agreements for $ 1.66 billion and ended up in technical default. Lenders received the right to demand early repayment of the debt.
Due to the settlement of the tax liabilities of Yugansk and the payments for the debts of the Yukos Rosneft, it was necessary to postpone the payback period with banks three more times. The company received the last delay until January 3, 2008, Writes Vedomosti .
Now Rosneft's debts are approaching $ 36 billion. It was supposed to creditors almost 14 billion at the end of 2006, and another 22 billion took on the purchase of yukos assets.
All the debts of Rosneft are “fulfilled”, reassured on Tuesday the vice president of Rosneft Peter O'Brien at a television conference for investors. But for the fidelity of Rosneft, it was nevertheless included in the list of strategic enterprises with a complicated bankruptcy procedure. This means, for example, that the predominant right to purchase at the contest of the debtor’s company remains from the state, and only if it does not, someone else will be able to buy bankrupt assets.
In total, the list is more than 1000 companies, mainly 100%, state defense enterprises, strategic research institutes and design bureaus. But there are private companies in it, for example, the Samara Aviation Aviacor Aviacore, controlled by Oleg Deripaska.
There is also on the list of Gazprom OJSC. His debts are still more than that of Rosneft. Only his payables at the end of March amounted to 964.2 billion rubles, including 45.6 billion - expired.
