On May 18, the regular reporting and election conference of the Omsk regional branch of the "United Russia" party took place. As Antenna-7 TV and radio company (Omsk) reported on May 21, 180 delegates from local branches of the party, members of the political council and the control and revision commission summed up the results of the election campaign for the Legislative Assembly of the Omsk Region, considered the implementation of the election program, preparations for the VIII Congress, which will be held this fall in Moscow.
Sergei Neverov, acting head of the Siberian Interregional Coordinating Council of the United Russia political party, took part in the conference. According to him, the work of the Omsk regional branch is highly appreciated by the leadership of the party. "Following the results of the March 11 elections, you have set a high bar for your next election campaign to the State Duma, and now we are embarking on a new stage of work," Sergey Neverov addressed the audience.
The participants of the conference also formed the working bodies of the regional branch of the party. The new political council has undergone quite significant changes - its composition has changed by almost 30%. The governing body included deputies of the Legislative Assembly of the Omsk Region, the Omsk City Council, the mayor of Omsk Viktor Shreider, the speaker of the regional parliament Vladimir Varnavsky, and the head of the regional headquarters of the public organization "Young Guard" Mikhail Karakoz.
By decision of the newly elected political council, the leader of the Omsk regional branch was replaced - Omsk United Russia was headed by the former deputy secretary of the political council, deputy chairman of the government of the Omsk region, Alexander Artemov. However, Anatoly Adabir, who has headed the party since 2002, does not leave its leadership - he remains a member of the presidium of the political council.
I have been in the party since 1999, I think that there should be a rotation. There are many figures in the Omsk regional branch from which one could choose, and it was not by chance that we chose the candidacy of Alexander Vasilyevich. He led the election campaign, for 5 years he was deputy secretary of the political council, this is a worthy leader. I remain a member of the Presidium of the Political Council, so there will be enough work for everyone," Anatoly Adabir commented on his resignation from the post of United Russia leader in Omsk.
According to the new secretary of the political council Alexander Artemov, in his work he is not going to deviate from the previous course of the party - first of all, he will focus on fulfilling the instructions of the voters received by the party during the election campaign.
