Representatives of the EU and Iran discussed the atomic program

For more than four hours, negotiations next to Madrid between the Supreme Representative of the European Union on a single foreign policy and security policy, Javier Solanna and secretary of the National Security Council of Iran Ali Laridzhani. They discussed ways to overcome the crisis that arose around the Iranian atomic program, stating, following the results of the conversation, promotion on some topics.

“We exchanged many ideas,” Solan told reporters. “I think that you can’t talk about a fundamental change, but we have advanced in some important areas.” Among them are the topics related, as he put it, "with the energy agency" - the International Atomic Energy Agency (Magate). “We hope to reach an agreement,” said the European diplomat, saying that they will meet again in two weeks, and that they will also have “contact” in a week, ITAR -TASS reports.

Laridzhani emphasized that "we have received useful ideas on both sides. We are seriously working to solve this problem." Without going into details, he mentioned some "coincidences of positions." The EFE agency provides data according to which the new meeting of Laridzhani and Solan can take place on Friday. There is no official confirmation of such information.
